A bit of sailing

After trips to all corners of NSW during the year, this weekend we accepted most welcome invitation to join Sean on his sail across the Sydney harbour to discover waters and places you cannot see from the ferry.

Trip took us about 4 hours of easy and relaxed cruising from The Old Cremorne Sailing club and back.  We shared the waters with lots of other sailors enjoying first hot Sunday of this early summer and other club members on their race to Manly

Sailing such a big boat for the first time was like learning how to walk again.  You need to pay attention and think about every move you do,  how are you going to do it, why are you going to do it and what’s going to happen, because some moves workes opposite than you used to.

Mild hot wind and slow waves let us learn the basics how to sail. And by sailing in my case I mean sitting at the back of the boat, chatting about lots and lots of topics and enjoying the weather.

Once again, thank you Sean for a refreshing Sunday experience. I hope all your plans we talked about will happen soon and you will be able to make your trip to Hobbart and back!

Funny shooting with bees

Shooting of some pictures is more fun than others. This one was fun. Shooting right next to the hive close enough to take closeups of bees comming back from hunt with 50mm was a deep experience.

Opal Fields sunset

When Fossicking in Opal Fields near Lightning Ridge, NSW we found ourselve so focused we almost missed the beautifull sunset to the eucalypt trees and dust. In the last moment I picked up the camera and managed to take this amazing shot.
